What should I expect from my manager? I've stuck it out for a year now and all I'm ever told is to not make mistakes. Manager stated explicitly that he does not want to review or test my work. Any attempts at discussion of why I made a mistake are dismissed by him as me making excuses. I never get any positive feedback. What is the average salary for an Employee Benefits Account Manager? I’ve been in the industry 6 years.

Has any companies given their employees good raises to help with the rising costs of everything? I was a top performer and only got around 3% this last year.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

Has anyone successfully moved out of claims into underwriting? I have been doing worker’s compensation claims for about 9 years now as an adjuster. I would really like to get into underwriting but have not had any success so far. What are some other roles I can transition to?
