McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.
Location constraint:
I have got a very good offer that i cannot deny, but location is Hyderabad, I want this in Bangalore location. I am not onboarded yet, spoke to HR , he said it is not a big problem, Thoughtworks is very flexible.
Currently it is WFH, but once it is back to office.. I dont want to relocate. How easy it is relocate from Hyderabad to Bangalore, Thoughtworks
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Hi guys,
Do zs provide wfh or it permanent wfo?

To be honest… most of my days are flex… I log in around 5:30 AM, send my assistants or junior associate/planner tasks that need to be completed for the day… complete some additional tasks, email clients… I’m in the office by 7:30-8:00… I’m out of the office around 1:30-2:00… unless there’s a meeting or event that I have scheduled…
But I choose to go to the office to lead by example… my office is 13 minutes door to door… but if my office was in downtown and had to commute 1hr each way… I’d probably work remotely more…
That's amazing, congrats to your team! I work for a high producing team as well, just with way less freedom.
Our hybrid is rapidly disappearing, and they make no exception for it being close to the holiday. We started the year with in-office being completely optional. We are now at 3 mandatory in-office days, and my guess is we will be 100% in office by the spring.
We are allowed to work from home two days a week, regardless of the time of year. I always take advantage of it and it's extra nice during those times when my kids are out of school. I really wish we could be fully remote because it's clear we don't need to be in the office, but they want us to be for whatever reason.
My company has the same rules around the holidays as any other time of year but they tend to be more understanding if you make it in 3 instead of 4 days a week during this time, but it’s not supposed to become a habit
