If you are a hard core go getter, want to make the world a better place, or change how business is done (come up with new approaches to problems) then there are better places.
If you are like that and need a breather before going onto greener pastures then i guess we are pretty good.
If you want to do technology and are cool focusing on deployment then we are ok. Or wamt to talk technology and focus on which algorithms are better then we are pretty good.
Also...the big firms are just like this too. We are just nicer and work less hours
Thanks all. I guess I'd be looking for more of a breather more than anything else while also still learning/adding value to the firm. Just want to be at a place where i enjoy the people and feel valued/heard
Also, how much travel? You can do ima for our cross martket team from chicago, if u wish to maintain travel benefits. Cross martket folks dont necessarily work in one city but may travel project by project.
@op cross marlet aims to travel a max of 50%.
I reality we travel about 33% of the time. Our travel is also much more chill. We dont travel for face time only, when the work is done we go home (which sometimes means we leave on tuesday or wed night).
The downside is that we dont get that family feeling that comes with the local office since we are traveling and are part of a different group
Local office people can volunteer to travel but local offices rarely sell work outside of their area

Can’t speak for Chicago but in my market we’re all close. I imagine Chicago has aspects of that family feel but given the size of the market it’s probably not the same

SC2, how often do you travel in cross market? If i am aligned to Chicago will i not have an option to be on travel projects?
That would def be of something of interest to me. I'm fine with travel when necessary, don't have a family to hold me down yet =). Are people who are aligned to an office not put on any travel projects if they want to be, though?
