I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. They also want to give me a clearance but it will start as an interim so I can work sooner than may. MY DILEMMA: Kbr states that they know I need money now so I can accept an offer with Northrop to see if I like it until may.BUT can I have 2 security clearances running at the same time?

Anyone unsure of what to do for bridesmaids “proposals?” I want them to get excited and feel special but when I see how much money I’d be spending on things like custom totes or mugs I’m like is it really worth it? I’d send cards but most of my bridal party I see pretty regularly/they live nearby so it seems odd to send them something when I live down the street. Help! 😅

I’m excited for my wedding but it’s almost 9 months away and I started planning it over a year ago. However, whenever I’m around friends/family it’s the only thing people want to talk to me about. It’s constant and generally there’s not many updates to give & I’d just rather talk about other things. We’re having a destination wedding and I feel selfish/silly for taking a honeymoon after. But I feel like if we don’t do it then we will put it off and it won’t really feel like a “honeymoon”. What would you do?

Was a little sticker shocked $200 per person before gratuity, just adds up quickly with that many people😬 Not requiring it but wanted to offer it if they want to be more glammed up, but now seeing online that’s it’s considered quite rude to not cover it for them? Maybe just cover one and they can do the other if they want? Don’t want to be rude if it’s expected but also don’t want to blow our budget… any perspective on the “norm” appreciated!

So, we have a wedding registry and my fiance and I would really like people to stick to gifting us what's on that registry. Yet, people keep asking what they should get us. The thought of dealing with a ton of crap we don't want or need is stressing me out. How can I politely tell people to only buy what's on the registry?

Can I do a mother of bride dress appointment the same time after my bride fitting? It'll just be my mom coming to the appointment. Or should I do hers right after I finish my appointment?
