Those who’ve bought homes in recent post pandemic years how many homes did you see before you landed on the one you bought?

I have $20k in savings, I owe $6,000 to my 401k loan, that’s the only loan I got. I am debt free otherwise except for my house. Should I use my savings to pay off? Since people are talking about unemployment and being fired, I wanted to make sure I have enough, 👩🏾‍💻... What should I do? I initially took the loan to add to my home equity when I sell my house for a new house then covid hit.

Can folks recommend good investment options for gaining Compound Interest, high returns long terms in your financial portfolio. Have regular 401k, share holding, kids 529 r plan, hsa saving account, very limited exposure and currently downward trending stock and crypto. Any recommendations? Historical average is 10%+, which would provide roughly $2.7 million for a baby born today. Eventually, this would eliminate the need for soc sec tax, and would only cost $18 Billion a year instead of several trillion a year being deposited into the trust.

How do you get experience when no one will hire you? I wouldn’t mind hanging a shingle but I feel it’d be irresponsible to do so with no experience. Unlike all of my classmates, I never landed an internship/externship in law school - had only one interview. I was a PT law student, came from a CS background, and worked in IT throughout law school. I passed the bar exam on my first try (Oct 2020) and have only had a couple interviews out of the hundreds of applications I sent out. Any suggestions?
