Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

How about 2 wide monitors? :-). I prefer multiple monitors for multitasking. I find it easier and works better than shrinking tabs on a single monitor (even with hot buttons and quick tabbing). I find that so much legal work is “two-screen work” with one document on one screen and another document(s) or reference materials on the other screen. And err on the larger side. More screens + bigger screens. I won’t be satisfied until I have the Minority Report setup. :-)
Same. Have two wides and it just makes stuff easier to take in.
Personal preference I guess but I like the firm separation of different screens versus multiple windows on a single large screen.
I have 2 wide. Dell had them on sale I think it was 150 a monitor. Definitely worth it
I have a single 34” curved at home and two 24” flat at my office. Even though it’s technically more space, I find it unwieldy and the “dead zone” between the monitors is actually the most natural place to look when I’m working. The single screen fixes that for me.
@SC2, I have, but after long hours my neck feels strained for looking back and forth, so it fixes one problem but creates another. For me at least, the one big curved monitor kills two birds with one stone.
I have one wide and prefer it to 2 normal sized
Totally agree with others, would go 2 monitors over one large screen, even if they’re normal size. But 2 wide screen monitors would be even better 😈🙊
Get an ultrawide and learn to use Windows virtual desktops. Totally transformative.
I have a Samsung 49” curved super ultra wide monitor and love it!
