Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?
Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

What does the role consist of? It sounds interesting from the title, but in actually could just be slapping people on the wrist. If you’re going to do something like this, make sure you would actually have tangible impact on the company. I’m all for doing something with social benefit (that’s my long term goal), but don’t get stuck in something that doesn’t challenge and excite you
Agree. It’s more like developing policies/procedures and governance, managing the compliance program from HQ and making sure the regional and international divisions and offices are complying with company policies and regulatory requirements. Most of the investigations/remediation parts are handled by a different team.
How does the comp and work-life compare? Guessing less hours but you never know. Sometimes cost centers are run lean requiring longer hours
The way you described it makes it sound pretty interesting, which leads me to believe you are interested in it yourself.... it seems like you know what to do from here
I definitely am interested, only downside I’m worried about is long term growth potential in the corporate compliance field as a non-attorney. Most of the executive roles are filled by attorneys. Wondering what the long term play is here
