I went in-house very early and don’t regret it. I spent 8 years in corporate America before going to law school, I just do better in that environment.
Was at a firm for a year and hated it.
Thanks. I have a similar background and didn’t love my first year at a firm and not sure I want to go back !
I wouldn’t but if you know that’s where you want to be, there is no harm in going in early. I just can’t imagine wanting to have company-specific risk and only deal with one client ever, let alone that early, and risk a lack of broad training and exposure, among other things.
