OHGer (pronounced Ogre) here. We are not fully RTO. Plenty of people remote including some recent hires. RTO is 3 days on paper but enforcement varies, my agency is on the very lenient end of it.
Bear in mind, IPG health’s strength compared to OHG, don’t see why they would drop the hammer on an added strength, including their office policy
HH&Y1 agreed, I’m just saying we don’t nor will we have full RTO as someone wrongfully heard. My guess is it remains 3 day RTO with a number of ways to get that number down in addition to some people remote. It’s not clear or makes sense but it’s been the reality the last 3 yrs without much push back from my understanding
As with any merger, they are not going to make big moves fast, but they will happen over the next year. Return to office for those who can get there, and out-of-state workers will probably be replaced over time by those who can be in the office. It probably won't be fun to be the only person on TEAMS when everyone else is onsite.
I think they will set the tone on day 1—in office or no job. They need to cut $750m post-acquisition and this is fastest and most cost effective way for them to make it happen.
Those savings are going to be in shared services: IT, HR, finance, etc.
I agree with the Ogre, a lot of OHGers are still either fully remote or go in less than the ‘mandatory’ amount. And across OHG and IPG, they’ve both downsized a lot of the offices since Covid so they physically don’t have the space for all these people to be in the office at the same time.
