I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

I think it can only help you, honestly. I went from architect to PM at a commercial real estate company, and really only think I got through the screening process because I had my PMP. It can definitely be done without it, but I’m just making an assumption it might be easier to check that box.
Ah okay interesting to know - didn’t realize you had to ultimately pay for the test and certification (though this makes so much more sense, because of course nothing is actually free). Thanks!
It can help get your resume a bit further in the blind applications, but you still have to have done the actual PM work of driving a team, managing schedules, removing roadblocks, etc, and be able to talk about that relevance. If you can network your way into a new role without it, great (and then have that new company pay for the exam!) ...but if the applications are requesting it, you might not get past the automated readers for first rounds.
Yeah - I’m thinking it might be good to just get it done if possible to remove the potential of it being an instant roadblock during the application process. Thanks!
I’ve lead a project management organization and now do PMO consulting. I don’t have my PMP and have never never felt the need.
The PMP credentials not worth the time and money. I have the credential since 2006 and while many state the PMP is “preferred”, obtaining the credential doesn’t equate to better salary.
If you want to do wealth management project management, Morgan Stanley is hiring a lot for that. No referral from me but feel free to look online if you’re interested!
Good to know. Staying in Finance isn’t my first choice (it’s actually where I am now, but in legal). But always open to researching opportunities. Thanks!
I think it can only help. The PMP isn’t that expensive. My employer paid for my tuition reimbursement, perhaps you can do the same?
Thanks. I’ll have to look into it. Employer is pretty good with benefits so that may be an option.
