I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Is there a seperate request to be raised for surrender of laptop and how to cancel the existing request for pickup. Please guide.Tata Consultancy

Work on your portfolio site. If your agency offers training for the adobe suite and you can learn that, do it. Focus on hobbies. If you have downtime take advantage. Go for walks. Do your errands. Meet friends for lunch. In the same position. I would also suggest therapy if it’s getting really miserable.
Find avenues outside of work where you can do great things. And keep up the job hunt. Toxic bosses poison your non-work life too.
Remind yourself that you’re getting a free course in how not to manage. I say that seriously - a lot of the good skills I developed came from remembering shitty bosses and making a conscious effort to the opposite of what they would do. Also if it’s really shitty and there’s a place that’s not on your list that is hiring and they seem nice, take it. Even if you’re just there for a year or two, as long as you get a few book pieces you’ll be fine. I’ve worked at famous places and obscure places and found that the people I’ve enjoyed working for the most in the last few years have been the ones who cared more about the portfolio than the pedigree.
Unfortunately, i have no wisdom words. All I can tell you is to soak it up and find a better opportunity because you’re a badass and someone will value you and your work.
On the partner front, I have never had a partner I went anywhere with and always got hired on my own. I've had 5 full time jobs and one permalance.
Was stuck in a similar situation two years ago. Landed at a place that values, trusts, and motivates me. It gets better. Maybe you need an in-between move to just get outta there? I allowed the toxicity of the relationship take a toll on my mental health and got to a really bad place before It got better
Find enjoyment outside of work while you hustle. This is temporary
Thanks guys 😭
Np. How are you feeling?
