TRUTH.
I get back to those people, if I can help them I will. I’ll start by saying “hey it’s nice to hear from you” … no need to harbor resentment and I can tell you most who once ignored you have learned their lesson. They are also the ones most likely to help me when I may need it again.
New phone. Who dis?
I usually say I’ll help and then don’t, or put in the bare minimum in case there’s a referral fee. Typically people like this don’t appreciate your efforts anyway, so don’t invest too much time in them.
Yep. It happens all the time. It is happening to me as well.
I feel we’re just asking too much of people. I’ve helped some people. Some people have helped me. I’ve forgotten to respond to some people. Others have forgotten to respond to me. Sometimes I’ve tried to help people and they’ve ignored me. Sometimes we end up going back and forth too much when there is nothing to discuss. That’s just how it is these days. It’s not that different from cocktail parties. Remember those? Sometimes you say hello and keep walking. Sometimes you stop and talk for a bit. Sometimes you see someone across the room and move on.
