I am a former partner that gave up my partnership during Covid with a caveat that if my income goes up I can buy back in. I am now an employee. There have been some conflicts recently that make me want to leave the firm but I do to want to lose ground by starting over again. Is it better to stay in a toxic firm for a shot at getting my practice back or start over, possibly losing my income and practice? The conflict was a politics fueled sexist rant by one of the partners.

Thoughts on how SAP handled bonuses this year with Covid

Just got benched, been completely billable till now, how long until I should be worried about potential layoffs? (Even though management is “committed” to not letting people go during covid)

So I'm pregnant and planning to take a few years off to stay at home with the baby.. While this makes me feel safe, I also worry that I will not be as hireable in a few years bc I'll lack the experience of working during covid and knowing the ins and outs of hybrid learning. How do I stay relevant while at home?

KPMG and PwC require three years for FDD seniors? I checked a few job descriptions posted on Linkedin and they ask a minimum of 3 YOE for seniors. PwC also asked 2 YOE for experienced associates. Is it due to the current market condition or it was actually the norm before COVID?

Hi guys I have an offer from Accenture and no issues in terms of CTC, job profile or other things. The only thing I am skeptical about is the job security. Do they really get rid of employees in a regular basis or the covid situation was a one time measure? This would probably be the last switch in my career and security would be of utmost importance to me. Please advise

I’m a 5th year niche corp associate. My group has been slow during covid, so I’ve been picking up work from other departments. I keep getting projects from one group that handles subject matter that makes me uncomfortable & that I really don’t want to be associated with. I was willing to “suck it up” for one-off projects, but they’re slowly trying to make me “part of the team”. I’m slow on hours (won’t meet 2020 target) & feeling anxious about turning down work...any suggestions?

Happy 2021 everyone!! If you stayed in town over the holidays and assuming no work, what did y'all end up doing in the last week? As someone who doesn't live with family, I haven't been able to find much to do here during covid times (which took out the causal City / nightlife / dinner outings with friends). I have been to several lakes and trails over my 3 years here but found them underwhelming. Arbor Hills Preserve is probably the only decent place. Suggestions? TIA

Any Novartis fish who knows how to go offshore. When I joined people used to go a lot and then covid happened and now I do not see anyone travelling at all. Anyone who’s seen people go abroad from Novartis post pandemic? What is the process? Just trying to find reasons to stay back.

Just received an offer letter from a tech company based in CA. Only a “background investigation and reference checks” are listed as the contingent portion of the offer, nothing about testing. Does anyone know if they are required to explicitly say whether or not they drug test in an offer letter? Genuinely curious especially with Covid right now and the last place I want to be at is a clinic.

Alright, so amidst all this GME/AMC/BB/DogeCoin craze is another stock I want to bring to your attention.

This is probably the only time you’ll see an Apple product go on sale. So $AAPL is heavily discounted right now. I’m definitely going to buy in once it dips down below $100. $AAPL is a great long term hold and won’t fluctuate like these other WallStreetBets/Meme stocks.

Hope you enjoy Apple pie, because now is your turn to get a slice! 🍎

Looking for advice... 5 months ago I went from Higher Education (HE) Law Firm. I was so excited to move on and was offered about $16K more in my salary.

Today I find myself not excited about my current job and since the firm is much smaller than my last job in HE I feel like there is less growth opportunities. Every day I want to message my old manager about coming back but my wife doesn't think I should primarily because of the stress I went through. I miss the 'stress' and workload.
