Two friends of mine were referred in Infosys, both selected in interview and offered comparable package with around 40 to 50 percent hike, on 12 and 13 LPA package. The one with 13 LPA joined but the other one joined Deloitte with the package of 12.5 lpa package.
After 3 years The one who joined Infosys is still on 13 LPA with no increment but the other one who joined Deloitte got 2 increment and now stands around 15.5 LPA.
Moral of story, even8 to 10% increment every year wil make big diff.

What are the best responses for “a time when you led a team” in a consulting interview, for someone who has not had a managerial position (1 yoe) before? I also don’t want to use an example from undergrad so I’m kind of stuck. What are they really looking for in this question? Initiative? Impact? People skills? And how would you differentiate this vs “a time when you worked in a team”

I recently joined Swiss Re at 30lpa, pretty good manager and work culture. Got a hike of 10% in 3 months without me asking for it. But got an offer from another company which I was interviewing for before joining here and they are offering a base of 45lpa. Now I am unsure how I convey this to my manager coz I want to stay here but at the same time I am salivating over this new offer and wish I get similar numbers here. Is it worth raising a discussion? If yes what would be a subtle way to do so?
