Appraisal mid year this year, I’m on track to do 500+ hrs over target. I am also 500 hours ahead of the two people in my same year in my team (and have been consistently ahead for past 18 mos). Reviews so far have been really good. We had to take a 6 month 20% pay cut in 2020 for covid despite being big law and finance performing v well (cushioning profits I think). I want to ask for a raise as our salaries are already lower side of market - am I in good position to do so? What sort of %?

Leaving my (London, big US) firm; HR has sent me various confirmations they are asking me to sign “before my last day”: I haven’t taken any docs, am aware of my regulatory obligations, don’t have any claims against the firm, have returned everything I need to return etc etc etc. This feels like an obvious try-on: the firm isn’t paying me anything to sign, my reg obligations are unaffected by it etc. How do others manage these? Just walk out on last day?
