I applied to an experienced consultant position at Bain and just heard back. Yesterday, I received an invite to a HireVue one-way interview to complete. Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. Others say I can afford 600k houses but that seems irresponsible and ridiculous.
My current rent is $1750 for a small 1bd1ba (cheap) but I’m sacrificing my safety in my neighborhood. No frills apt.

Hi, I am having 1year and 3months of experience and Thoughtworks has offered me application developer - consultant graduate role with 11.1lpa as CTC(including that 1.5L benefits). From reading other bowls, it sounds like compensation at Sanofi is notoriously below market (which is odd because they are a F 500 company). Does anyone have experience interviewing with them and know whether they are willing to negotiate comp at all? Leaving my (London, big US) firm; HR has sent me various confirmations they are asking me to sign “before my last day”: I haven’t taken any docs, am aware of my regulatory obligations, don’t have any claims against the firm, have returned everything I need to return etc etc etc. This feels like an obvious try-on: the firm isn’t paying me anything to sign, my reg obligations are unaffected by it etc. How do others manage these? Just walk out on last day?
