UK- I have been offered two positions. One in corporate finance with the same salary at a top 25 firm or move to London into a hybrid role (group accountant with aspects of forecasting +budgeting). Really struggling what to choose.

I am just an american dreaming of your London offer lol

Don't move to London if you're somewhere lcol. Why raise your expenses plus have moving costs?

CR1 I’m from the UK. Not really concerned about covid with the vaccine coming. This is very much looking at what is a better career path.

I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.

My band is BPO 1 & joined TCS in March 2020. I'm currently working as an analyst in a UK based IT service desk project (retail, CBO). my joining CTC was 5LPA & current is 5.6LPA. I got a B band in annual appraisal and wish to continue committing and contributing in the same way, infact more. Wanted to know whether I could grow career wise in the current setting even if I maintain good performance and ratings? Where can I logically see myself in the next 5 years? Both position wise & salary wise?

I started with my bar prep company in March and have been working remotely since. I don’t feel like I was ever properly trained (can’t tell if that’s because of poor management or WFH or both) but I have a hard time with the contract management system and have made several mistakes. Of course, I wasn’t trained in the CMS and am only taught how to do something correctly after I’ve don’t it incorrectly. Any advice on keeping things in perspective? Can company ask for a COVID positive test results? HR is asking for "tracing" purposes. I don't really care to provide as I don't think they mean anything negative, but thought maybe I should be aware of what is allowed or not at least.

Hello. I'm 33 years old and I'm just over 17 weeks, and had a "high risk" result on my sequential screen (combines blood tests from 12 and 16 weeks). My NT was normal, but I'm showing 1/230 risk for Down Syndrome. Today I did my Panorama/NIPT test, and I'm just in such an awful place. From what I can tell, my unconjugated estriol is low, which is a marker for Down Syndrome. How many of you had a positive screen then were cleared with the NIPT?

Applied to Deloitte for a SC position & was told by HR that I was aiming too high so she had me interview for a Consultant position instead. Received an offer, she asked what salary I wanted & I said $100k based off the averages I saw online, she quickly agreed. Today was my first day & I saw that in the system they have me as a SC which has an average of $120k so now I’m not sure if there’s an error or if I got finessed out of $20k 😭 is it worth it to ask HR about/any tips on how to go about it
