Layoff in IQVIA?
@iqvia
Hi everyone Google ,
I am facing interview trouble.
1. First round of interview has done
2. 2nd was scheduled on 1 july but interviewer did not join. After a few mails to hr and recruitment team one hr replied that they will reschedule it, and asked me for possible dates.
Since then i am waiting for the interview schedule as all of my given dates have been passed. I don't know how to deal with it as I don't want to miss the opportunity.

Don't be an idiot, and by that I meant don't walk away from this situation without contacting an employment lawyer and prepare a suit against your firm. They'll likely settle but irregardless, anyone who supports the targeting of coworkers due to them wanting to start a family shouldn't be a leader. They might be a partner, but they are NOT a leader. Sue them, teach them to learn how to respect colleagues as people.
Do you have an employment lawyer to refer? I may need one if my Ex-employer doesn't start paying my doctor bills incurred because they cancelled health insurance 4/30 even though they took out the insurance premiums from my MAY paychecks.
Ok pause..have you gotten any negative performance reviews in the past 3 months? Are you currently on the bench? How have you typically been rated against your peers? This is so crazy I think you are not telling us something
Sue! What company is this so we can hate on them together 🫂
Did you have any performance issues? They can still lay you off bc they need to reduce headcount and they usually start with the lower performers.
They honestly prob decided this months ago too. No company decides who’s RIF’d within a week.
Wouldn’t it be discrimination if they didn’t fire lower performing pregnant individuals the same as their peers?
I didn’t say that but they absolutely do. I’ve seen poor performers who really didn’t want to be working who started having kids to force a change.
First, sorry to hear
However, don’t get too excited about the lawsuit opportunity. You have not said anything about evidence the layoff was due to your pregnancy, and this is likely coincidental to your announcement
Most of us work in “at will” situations and companies are allowed to reduce headcount - your challenge will be to prove it was discrimination and that will be hard.
My gut feel is the firm is laying off others, most of whom are not pregnant, and they will have a lot of documentation as to who was selected and why. These firms have very good legal counsel and follow rather rigid approaches that make it hard to argue.
Isn't that discrimination?
FYI, the are A LOT of employment lawfirms that get paid if you win if you're unable to get a retainer together
What you need to do is have your lawyer contact them unexpectedly. See how your boss enjoys a subpoena delivered to his home instead of his office, so his spouse or child is forced to receive it. And your friends in HR. And let your lawyer make it right because a good lawyer will.
Rising Star
Do you think you shouldn't have told him
It is the toxic environment. Eventually everyone knows? And the boss will find various of excuse to fire you.
You just got a golden ticket for a lawsuit. I’d be excited right now
From my experience individual market leaders and HR do make mistakes like this. You’d be surprised some of the things they do.
Like if you notify them in writing you need radiation treatments first thing every morning for the next month but will just be in a little later. A week later you get put on a PIP for that upcoming month. They tell you the PIP is based on utilization. You point out you met utilization goals for the performance year that just ended. They start swearing and change the PIP to focus on OT hours for the next month. That you just told them about the treatments.
When you request that be deferred until after your treatment ends in a month (which is an accommodation under ADA) they start screaming. Everything is documented in writing. HR later says that all of this did not occur….
I feel like there may be key points in the story that haven’t been said, however, it depends where you are. Some states have an “at will” policy and your employer simply doesn’t need to explain why you’re getting fired, you get let go at their discretion. Such is the case of Florida.
Most companies dont Fire women because they’re pregnant, but there may be some out there that will do it, but it’s hard to prove that’s the case.
