My spouse currently works in company "A" with fixed 14.5 LPA and is currently in maternity leave until Oct
We are in dilema on which regime to select as she will be switching companies in coming Dec/Jan
She will be opting for 1.5 Lakhs 80C
1.44 Lakhs HRA
50k NPS
2 Health insurances of 25k (me & her) and 30k (her parents)

When she switches companies, her salary would be above 25 LPA. So can she opt for new regime when switching?

Is it normal for a Product Owner to lay out specs for how a feature should work?

I thought that was my job as the ux designer to figure out the best way to solve a need. But I’m getting handed projects where the PO, and sometimes the senior designer has laid out exactly what should happen (components used, flow, etc) to design a feature. It’s really frustrating because I don’t know if I’m supposed to be speaking up on what I think or just do the UI work I’m asked to.

How much tax will be deducted on 18lpa fixed salary (1746800 in hand after epf deduction)? Even after investing 1.5 lacs in 80c.

For rent paid below 1 lakh there is no need to submit landlord's PAN. I have calculated based on my HRA and if I show rent paid as around 96k my tax refund will be around 13k.

However there is no rent agreement or rent receipts.

Will it be a problem later on if I show this in my ITR?

I selected new tax regime in the company 'xyz' portal for April 2021-March 2022. I left this company in jan 2022 and tax of 16k got deducted from F&F settlement.

I have investment in EPF and submitted the rent receipts to the company for tax exception for HRA. But in F&F, based on new regime tax deducted.

During filing ITR for assessment year 2022-2023, can I file by selecting old regime and get this 16k return?

I recently learned that we can get our PPF limit from 1.5Lakh per year increased and so does it increase in 80C. Is that true? And if yes, how can it be done?

My employer assigned a tax consulting company in India to support me in filing tax, somehow the tax consulting firm found that bank account via AIS document (not sure how they get it in that doc), as they found some interest credited for that saving account. I have started working from jul2019 and I have filed my tax return for 2020 and 2021 tax years.


However I note that there was withholding of some amount in 2017-2018 and 2019 tax years ( withholding from comission received from insurance commission from lic and United india)

I have not filed 2017, 2018, 2019 return as my total income was less than threshold

Is it possible to file return for 2017 , 2018, 2019( all r in refund) now without paying any penalty?

Basic 13LPA
FB 7 LPA
Total fix pay - 20 LPA

80c - 1.5 LPA
HRA 3 LPA
