I'm handing off my current full-time embedded controller duties to another organization. Boss made it clear it must be as smooth as possible (client referral). Boss also wants me to learn a new role with another client at the exact same time. This is so that client's team lead can have backup for a 2 week trip in June. Boss seemingly doesn't care that after 2 years working for him I haven't had 2 weeks off in total and have worked most holidays. Job search is full steam ahead...

Considering making the move from distressed investing/special situations to consulting, particularly pe consulting for the following reasons: more team-oriented, structured career path, more variety, etc. Thoughts?

Anyone who joined after March’22 who got the VPB letter?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
