For beers, are there any local ones near your destination that you could buy for your event? It'll make it more unique. Otherwise IPAs and wheat beers are a good option

I don’t think anyone pays attention to the wines since there are so many wine makers, no one knows every brand. We used wine from Aldi (not the Winking Owl brand), and I don’t think anyone could identify the random brand. For beer, we went to BJ’s and got mid-level stuff in bulk (Trulys, Heineken, and a local beer).
Are your guests young/old/evenly mixed? For beer I’d do one volume beer (a domestic lager) and one more interesting option like a local pick. For wine I’d do a pinot noir or red blend, a chardonnay if you have a lot of boomers and a sauv blanc or pinot grigio if the wine drinkers skew younger.
