I try to keep myself busy when it feels like my entire job is waiting. I know that sounds a little bit simplistic, but if I'm just sitting around refreshing my inbox, I start to get annoyed.
That can be a long time between dopamine hits. One approach is to think in terms of "micro-wins," small victories that can keep your head in the game. If the clients have divulged anything important and/or useful, note that down as a small victory. And use what could seem to be down time to learn what you can. You might be able to map the client's organization if you're clever at it. With a cycle that long, portray yourself as a strategic advisor. When you check in with clients provide some intel or info that might be to their benefit.

I agree with the above. Stay busy. Maybe consider upskilling.
