I got mine at JJ’s House! You can order and return and they do custom sizing. My main dress was $300 and I ended up getting a reception dress for $200 since I saved so much! I wouldn’t say they are the highest quality, but it’s nothing you would notice unless you look really closely and no one is going to inspect your dress. Also, you are wearing it once, so it doesn’t need to be durable.
My budget was $1000. I really loved a $1500 dress I tried on at a boutique, but I knew I would be sick over how much it cost and won’t enjoy wearing it.
My engagement ring was from Amazon because I plan to only wear a band that has some stones in it. My husband’s band and my band are going to be around $1500 combined, but mine is a bit more than just a band. I would advise not to try on dresses out of your budget, because I went in steeling myself against going over budget and I still almost did. It’s really hard to say no once you see it on.
My overall budget is $25-30k for 180 people.

Our wedding ended up being around 25k and my dress was $1800, including the tailoring. Sold it after for $500, so it ended up being around $1300

Mine I sold on RealReal because it was a brand they sell
But I've seen and heard others sell their dresses on Poshmark, Stillwhite and Vestiare Collective too
Wedding dress, veil and alterations were about $10k and am currently wearing a $30 wedding band from Amazon 😂
So I’m unconventional with my wedding and went to a boutique to try my dress and couldn’t stomach spending 2500 on a dress that I was going to wear for two hours. I sent the photos to a tailor I found on Etsy and he made the dress for 750 and the dress came TTS and I spent another 250 altering it (had to tailor it since it was too long).

If you want something cheaper, look at Lulus. I got my second dress from there for like 180
My wedding dress was way more expensive than my wedding band and I have no regrets. My wedding band was ~$400 and my husbands was <$200. My dress was $2k and alterations were $800. I got the dress from glamour closet and would highly recommend if you’re on a budget. The original price of my dress was $8k. My wedding was $40k for 80 people.
I bought my wedding dress new at a bridal consignment shop that sells new and consigned dresses for $1200 and planning to sell it back after
Got a $6k dress for $500 off the rack - wedding budget is $40k
What do you mean by "off the rack"? How do you seek that out?
My wedding band was $1200 but my wedding dress, vail, and alterations were almost $10k. So no where near. I wanted the custom ball gown dress of my dreams and so I was willing to pay the price to have it. Total budget was $120k.
My wedding dress was $1200 + 500 in alterations and I wish I had bought it secondhand. I would check out some of those sites.
To add: try on styles you like in a boutique then try to find secondhand. I got a popular style from BHLDN that I LOVED, but because it was popular there were lots of secondhand sellers and I could have saved a ton
Wedding 65k. Dress 5k. TBD on alterations cost.
Not planning to spend more than 5k on the ring I don’t think..
I paid a little over 3k for my dress this included alterations too.
My band is around 1k and my dress was around 2k plus tax and alterations. My fiancé spent the same total cost for his custom suit and accessories :) we're aiming to keep the wedding under 40k for 85 people but it depends on consumption at the bar, etc the day of.
Edit: I'm planning to sell my dress, and others from the same designer resell for twice as much as I paid.
I spent 2k on mine. That was one of the things I splurged a little on because I knew I would be wearing it in all my pictures. It all depends on what is important to you.
Thank you for the great tips!
