That’s a significant pay cut. You might work your ass off for a year or two and get a raise, just to get back to where you are now.
I also don’t know what “long term potential” means in our industry at the moment. Would be more inclined to stick with your current gig and look for another job that offers both more $$ and opportunity or actual work/life balance.
Stay where you are, nothing is guaranteed growth and you are making more now and said the hours are reasonable
DTC is extremely shake-y category.
In creative, we had 2 black Monday firings a year. At least 100 person each. Does Pharma have that kind of excitement?
I would only take it if there will be sexy projects on the table from Day 1 at that other agency. Have seen a lot of agency/CD promising good clients and good works when interviewing, then ppl get hired to do boring decks -kind of situation. Not to mention it’s lower pay and less PTO.

How do we know how important money is to you?
Last thought: which agency can handle a recession? We might be headed towards one. Think long term. Maybe being the NEW employee may make you expendable.
Agency 1 feels moreso built to weather a recession
Stay where you are
Age/goals?
For me, more money isn’t about spending, it’s more about being able to save and invest more so I can retire with more. Current happiness is decent, but I’m writing in a very nuanced pharma space that I don’t come from, so i feel like it’s only a matter of time before I burn out/they see I’m not cut for this/I feel backed into a corner.
Level of itch to move is very low, it’s only a consideration because the opportunity and offer got slid my way. But otherwise I’d casually look but wouldn’t consider such a pay cut
Does long term potential mean options and revenue sharing. I took a pay cut of 30% for a higher commission upside and equity. Took me about 2 years to make it back in commission but I'm glad I did it. Plus I have the equity.
Only do it if there's something they're giving you where you can say "I got this."
Equity is an interesting angle but idk if that’s an option at this agency. Comission def isn’t though.
The offer they’re giving me isn’t attractive. Less pay, less PTO, starting from scratch. But out of pharma is big. On paper, the offer kinda sucks
I would recommend
1. Never get emotionally attached to the place of work.
2. Stay at the current job , use the extra time to spend on your personal creative projects or family time etc.
3. Don't go the new place just because you have old co-workers there ! It's not a valid enough reason.
So if you negotiated up 45k… does that mean the offer was $125k for an ACD role? I make that as an art sup. That’s a red flag. I would stay put…
