How can I make friends in Chicago?

He tends to pop in to my head at least once a month. How can I move past this?

I guess I'll try my luck out... Isn't the ideal thing to have the passion and romance of teenagers, but with the maturity and experience of adults? Hopefully I could find someone here that has that mindset.

It's an exhausting time to be working in this industry, to say the least. How do you prevent taking your work home with you?

Do friends ever dump you onto your therapist or psychiatrist or dismiss your valid, normal feelings as “oh did you tell your doctor about this?” I feel like they’re just shitty friends delegating off.

Parents - do any of you truly regret having kids?

Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. It’s not changing in the last several years and it’s impacting our relationship. Anyone have experience with their SO dealing with untreated anxiety? I feel under qualified at work but I also don’t know how much of it is in my head or in reality. Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.
