What are some of the benefits at EY? Specifically, with the change to unlimited PTO does the firm still have firm wide shutdowns like KPMG? Did they have them in the first place?

Right...so..now we have more time off but still need to get all the work done in that reduced amount of work time. Without adding more resources the model will not work.

Yes, we still have the firm wide shut down for the Fourth of July week and the week between Christmas and New Year’s.

I have found our time off to be generous, but I recognize that not everyone has had the same experience that I’ve had. We have 19 firm paid holidays - this includes the week of July 4 and the week between Christmas and New Years. Then I will end up taking 4-5 weeks of PTO this year. Ultimately, I end up working between 9 and 10 months per year.

Up to $60 toward phone bill, $1000 wellness fund, 16 weeks parental leave (in addition to two weeks short term disability before and three weeks of vacation after), 10 sick days, free counseling, significant amount of paid holidays in addition to the two weeks of shut down

Yes, and they increased our firm holidays along with the unlimited vacation policy change.

I feel like time off is super generous at EY- lots of firm holidays that are really respected in my experience (memorial day, 4th of july week, labor day, etc.), and I feel very comfortable taking a lot of vacation with unlimited PTO (although I feel if i were a new staff i'd be more hesitant to do so, but feel as an established senior i'm comfortable with asking for time off)

Thanks for your perspective. Yeah I’m in the interviewing process to make the jump to EY and I couldn’t find any details of benefits in the EY website unfortunately
