At my firm, travel policy is same as McK. For junior levels, it’s economy until it passes a certain duration than it’s business. For meals, my fund is providing a daily stipend to us, which is more so than what McK has.
That said, consulting usually treats these “perks” as charging back to the clients so it’s a little different.
There isn’t that much difference between PE and MBB in that sense. Go where you learn more and can grow instead of the place that can provide you a daily meal.

Think 30 daily? Not much, but definitely enough for grocery and 1-2 meals a week eating out.
It’s pretty good but I’d say a little worse than my experience at McKinsey. In general slightly worse perks are made up for in pay
