Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Tbh, think it’s similar. LEK potentially sells bigger projects and is moving more towards longer cases with wider scopes. LEK is also more similar to clearview since Putnam double staffs.
As a buyer of these projects, the type of work they can do is nearly identical. You typically get a better result from LEK than a boutique, but LEK also charges a lot more. As a place to work, you will learn to do a better job at LEK. But they will also burn you. Up to you.
Almost no one in industry cares or knows enough about these companies to differentiate brand or prestige. Prestige is mostly something people deep in the consulting world care about. Step outside and you’ll realize most people don’t know the difference between McKinsey and Putnam.
At LEK you need to be a specialist in healthcare/LS to be staffed exclusively on those projects. The boutiques you mentioned only do healthcare/LS, so you wouldn’t have that problem.
I believe we also pay more. Past that, it’s worth looking into type of work breakdown - in our LS practice I think ~70% growth strategy and ~30% DDs. Not sure if the boutiques have more of a singular focus.
What prior exp do you have? If you have a few YOE in HC/LS I don’t think it would be terribly difficult to come in sector aligned.
Keep in mind 50% of our work is in your sector of interest anyways.
Generally, first year you’ll get staffed wherever they want to put you but your input is taken into consideration. After a year you can specialize. Hope that answers the question!
