Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

Considering audit won't be a job in a few years you should definitely go with advisory
I switched from BDO audit to EY FAAS. I was considering KPMG since I had friends in the group but they screwed around too long with setting up interviews and such. I talked to so many recruiters there it was getting ridiculous. I think it was the best move for me out of audit since even though I'd only been doing it a few years, I felt I was stuck and not learning anything further on the jobs I was on. EY FAAS has given me more opportunities in the 9 months I've been here than I got in the roughly 4 years at BDO, and I was a top performer in my office and early promoted to senior there. It's not always a glamorous job and the work is ups and downs on how busy you'll be but it's anything from transactions for IPOs and offering memorandums to accounting policy work to financial statement assistant to a bunch of other things. It's all in what you want to do in those groups.
Please elaborate D1
