For auditors with 4-6 YOE leaving PA to industry for entry level accounting manager role, what questions would be asked for interview? And how would you respond to questions like you have no accounting but just auditing experience before

I just finished my second week from my industry job (moving from public to industry) and it was mostly behavioral and talking about the role in public. Don’t worry they are not going to be testing you on the spot because they know you are interviewing them as well as they are interviewing you

like

Thank you! Did you enjoy the work so far compared to previous auditor job?

Get a senior accountant role instead.

They know that you don’t have direct accounting experiences so just be prepared to tell them your experiences in Auditing/Sox

As someone in that boat that just jumped, you’re more than like going to get the interview unless the hiring person also came from public. Given that, they know what you’ve been through, so I didn’t get any questions about technical accounting or the close process. It was usually just asking how I dealt with difficult staff and then general personality questions.

Lol congratulations

I read this super interesting article about how big companies like Toyota are investing in social-emotional training for their employees and seeing massive benefits. I actually think this could be a whole separate class for students of all ages. Learning about conflict resolution, growing your own self-regulation skills...it's really important.
