What are the WFH situations at firms other than PwC? For job seekers who are looking to switch, are we being put in a bad spot by applying to firms that will want us to relocate? Eg: I work at pwc but have a long lease out of state due to covid and WFH. If I apply to another firm and am asked to relocate, I’m now left to choose to break a very expensive lease and deal with a commute at the expense of possibly accelerating my career. It doesn’t seem like EY/Deloitte/KPMG are following suit?

Accepting an offer in IBD, lateraling over from consulting. Opportunity of a lifetime for me so don’t want to lose it.
But timing is horrible. I joined the Army Reserves before this opportunity was on my radar. Interviewed over several months, got the offer, but shipping out in 1 month for training for 6 months.
Do I irreversibly shoot my career by joining and immediately going on LoA? I obviously haven’t mentioned it in the interview process. Or will this be forgotten a couple years in?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
