Right...difference is you pocket unspent funds at ACN. I prefer lower amount with opportunity to pocket. Makes a difference when you have 3 kids.
Or you know, they could just pay us competitively
The per diem we get seems on the low side but if you’re smart about it you can pocket as little or as much as 100 a week (depending on location ofcourse) and end up with an extra 400 a month tax free. That’s your car payment right there.
All you Accenture people saying how great it is to pocket the $50 per week difference while you eat Chipotle for dinner and are underpaid - wake up.
Lol OP I wish you realize how entitled you sound, not cute
Honestly I’ve walked away at the end of many many weeks pocketing $70-100 extra cash per week because of Accenture per diem
I mostly eat at whole foods or Sweetgreen!
This needs to change with our new growth model
per diem is based on your location and ate set by GSA (feds). you should book them based on the rate on the site
I am getting MUCH lower than the fed rate.
One caveat on the PwC numbers is that we don’t do a per diem. We are able to expense up to $75-$100 depending on city, but it’s not a per diem
Accenture is the same way. You don’t have to use per diem. You can expensive actuals.
it depends on location and not that bad...
$43/day in TX. Free breakfast at the hotel and about $10 lunch at the clients cafeteria (pretty good food), leaves me $33 for dinner. not too fancy but also not bad (especially if you do Chinese take away to catch up on work one night a week)
yeah - working for ACN now - prior firm was all actuals (filing receipts for everything) but there was not a limit (but people were looking). Breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee all paid for. Now I feel like a govt employee.
PWC people - is it the same for Strategy& or do they get special treatment?
Wonder how S& would retain people with an archaic expense policy
AFS per diem ain’t that high
If you are traveling they do
