What career can you transition to easily after consulting?

My wife is trying to enter the SE space, but has no prior experience ( previous experience consists of teaching/ childcare). Is there truly any entry level jobs out there without 2-3 years experience ? Does anyone have any pointers to help her? Thanks in advance 🙏

At what point do you draw the line on WLB? Working insane hours on a long/term project with what feels like no end in sight. It’s not sustainable but clearly expected. Could you get fired for drawing lines in the sand and saying (example) “come 8:30 every night I’m logging off”. That’s a 65 hour work week as-is but I currently am up until midnight working consistently. For context I’ve been rated as a strong performer consistently and am not new to the job so it’s not a lack of understanding.
