No body cares about PMP
Cute
First, real work experience is better than all of that. What do you want to do? FYI - CPA is quite an undertaking
True, I’m only considering the CPA because I really enjoyed those courses in business school and found the forensic side of accounting super interesting-not sure if it will add a lot of value to the work my firm is doing now.
The honest answer is I’m not sure which one I’d like to do. I’m trying to weigh the value of the additional certifications vs the cost/time to do them and wanted to get input from people who may have been in my position.
My end goal (probably not unique) is to stay in consulting and find ways to move up as quickly as possible.

CPA is good but not great at leading up the CFO title anymore. Many CPAs top at the SVP level as a CAO.
Depends on your interests but a MHA generally isn’t a bad idea if the MBA doesn’t interest you.
Cool thank you!
If you want to remain in healthcare consulting then an MHA isn’t a bad idea- gives you client credibility. It won’t make you a significant amount of incremental money in terms of your consulting comp but it also gives you some flexibility in terms of exit opportunities. If you want to be a hospital CFO some day, an MHA and CPA combo would be powerful. How many consulting credits did you take in UG? If you’re close to meeting the CPA eligibility requirements for your state, you should go for it.
Thank you for the advice! It would probably take 6 months to complete the rest of the CPA courses + work experience so definitely considering it.
Pmp
I guess PMP is ok to have but honestly it’s nothing. Sometimes pigeonholes you into specific PM projects that suck.
