My background is in tech transactional. I joined a cybersecurity SaaS startup at the end of last year and now also handle more generalist matters in addition to all things commercial-related. I have a number of books on contracts that I’ve found super helpful over the years (The Tech Contracts Handbook, A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting, Sign Here, etc.). Can anyone recommend books they’ve found helpful for L&E matters, privacy matters, product matters, or marketing/advertising matters?

We have some older neighbors (60s) that moved in next door a few months ago. Whenever we watch TV after 9pm, they bang on the walls. Question for PC gamers: since i won't be buying a graphics card any time soon, i was wondering if it would even be worth it to upgrade Mobo/chipset. Current specs are: i5 7600k (OC to 4.4ghz, only supports up to 2400 speed ram, 4 cores no hyperthreading), GTX 1070 OC'd, m.2 nvme storage, 32gb 3200 cl 15 ram even though it's not supported). I absconded Amdocs on my 2nd working day due to a family emergency. Informed my reporting manager and TL about the same.
Now the HR is calling me daily and asking me to complete the resignation formalities. They even called my emergency contact.
Any idea what the formalities are as I can't serve any notice period since I've already joined another firm. Also as I have absconded can't they simply just blacklist me and move on?
