PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

Car has too many dents (they want pix & only allow nice cars) and I don't even own a smart phone, so that's not really an option, but a nice thought.
Unemployment payments finally started coming in, but not until I fell pretty far behind on bills (was already living month to month before this) (better than week to week, but not by much!). So I may lose the car. Can't keep up the payments and can get a junker cheap, so that's the immediate plan.
I'm back in the Porn business though! I made a bunch of websites for Adult Entertainment people back in the day and am trying to see if I can make a living at it. They are the best people I ever worked for in my life!
Web standards have changed a lot, but I have time to learn now, so... We go where we can get work we wont hate so much we get ourselves fired!

Do like I did - make their websites and edit their videos. I even added some ... Fun special effects to some stuff.
Great times for half decent pay and working for people who really do care about your well being beats the fluff out of the corporate nonsense I was putting up with after that small business was swallowed by a giant.
Consider doing DoorDash/ Uber Eats if you can’t do ride sharing like Lyft. Also, depending on your degree/ experience consider AI training like DataAnnotation or Handshake which you can do remotely.

What collectibles are you selling?!
I ran a comic book store after high school so I have tens of thousands of those things (mostly junk because it is what survived going out of business sales, but even at $1 each it is money) and related toys, art (posters, portfolios and original art) as well as other collectibles I enjoyed - for instance; I just made a mortgage payment by letting go of my 1865 Edition of Dante's Inferno with the Gustave Dore illustrations. Hated to let it go, but ... times are not good.
1099 gig work to supplement my reserves and make funds stretch further. Thank god I haven’t even had to touch 401Ks or IRAs
My situation makes "gig work" unfeasible. But I suppose making websites counts as gig work (I use gigabytes of data!) so there is that.
Plus, the web work is often done in trade (got several cars over the years just by making websites - all off the books!).
Wish I had a 401K or an IRA, but they didn't exist at the place I worked so when the money ran out - it was GONE.
