I made the move to a smaller agency and it was a huge mistake. Interviews went well but something felt off. Once I started I saw how they would lie about so many things publicly and to clients and the big fish in a little pound had fragile egos and were resistant to change
That really depends on that company which you are planning to move on. We try to have social gatherings and daily chats as frequently as possible. Was pretty hard with covid but as we are moving back to the office its a weekly thing. I think these types of activities are much more frequent at smaller companies honestly
Depends more on your mindset and personality tbh. I went to a smaller agency and couldn't thrive because I needed processes set in place. Some people love to be part of the creation of teams/projects and it can be a huge growth opportunity but not without its own challenges
If you're up for it, you should go for it.
No shame in moving for money, I've done it plenty of times 🙂 I will say that maybe it's worth holding out for an agency that's larger and suits your needs and can pay you just as much as that smaller one. Or, you can take the offer and stick around for a year or so before jumping to another place.
I’m not really familiar with the US as I manage my business (and live ) in Hungary. But the key difference would be in the day to day tasks.
We are focusing on eCom and HR solutions with most of our clients being industry leaders. Not proud to admit, but sometimes it’s literally a mess. As we’ve only started 4 years ago we are still pretty small. Only 12 people with a focus on strategy, ads and TikTok.
I would not leave a bigger agency before being promoted from assistant. But if you are up for a challange which includes a lot of different tasks daily, bigger responsibilites in an environment which is unstable, go for it. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills faster but if it’s about paying rent then it’s never a bad idea to stick with the stable option.
Hi! No I’ve mever heard of them
At our place we mostly manage companies who are in industrial areas or eCom companies doing 1-2 mill. $ annually. Mostly they are looking to scale with us. If you would apply here then what we would look for is seniority- experience. We had the opportunity to work for Huawei or Coca Cola regardless not being a media buyer or not focusing on social.
If you are sticking to social / media buying long term then it’s much better to work for flashier clients in my experience. Other competitors will most likely try to take you from your current company than a smaller one.
Definitely, the large agency has a more evolved culture. The small agency is still in the process of developing. However, small agencies have a better WLB and if you’re getting a good payraise, you should definitely consider switching.
Hi there yes I am getting a 20k pay increase, I literally cannot afford to not take this offer!
