^in my experience, they tend to jump in haphazardly without thinking about if what they’re saying actually answers the original question
If you were to hire all three to help you with golf:
McKinsey would send you tiger woods to golf for you
Bain would sit there and watch you swing the club a millions times until you got it
And bcg would send out scientists to run analytics on the perfect way to swing your club.
McK1- if you think about it, BCG1 is speaking about BCG's culture by offering an example of how they prioritize a safe work environment for their employees. Doesn't matter if you're a rockstar- if you're an asshole, they won't keep you
BCG is nerdy, McK is pretentious, Bain is fratty
❤️
Been at bcg for 3 yrs; there was a manager who partners loved, clients liked and was a kickass consultant, etc but he said some things the team found offensive/violated vale’s and he was let go. Can’t speak to bain/mck
I’d push back and say we’re not fratty, just collegial and tight-knit. I was so nervous during recruiting because I’m the farthest from fratty 😜
@BCG1, I think it might be an office thing. In one of the CEMA offices we had a lateral who routinely made people cry and treated juniors poorly and they slapped him on the wrist and promoted him because he generated revenue
Fair, I’m in the US
We’re all friends. I agree with Bain 2
@A1 do you mean McK focus more on staff aug than the other two?
All smart snobs :)
Thanks for all the legitimate advice..
(Point in case)
I’ve heard Bain being called white male world , again not my personal judgement but an opinion from a lot of my friends who either are working in Bain or left in 3 years
