Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

What if Fishbowl implemented Blockchain ???
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Don’t do it, try to be a COO instead. Most people in a firm hate the COS because while that person feels empowered to act on behalf of the CEO (or whatever their boss’s title is) they’re really a disrespected glorified secretary.
In some companies in industry they drive some projects as well. Basically they take over what their boss does not want to do himself/herself. In some cases they are also the gatekeeper to their boss (as a consultant you discuss deliverables with CoS before you go in meetings). It‘s good to have them on your side as they can be unofficially quite influential for their boss thinking.
In short: can be quite a cool role, but depends on your boss
Glorified EA. Basically admin role but drives a lot of strategic planning.
Yep, what M1 said. 💯 admin.
Was curious about this as well. Any particular career advantage by being a CoS? My only exposure to this role is via government/politics and those chiefs are usually very seasoned and typically go into other leadership roles once done. In the consultant world what can one except as an exit (assuming each firm is a little different)?
I knew a guy that was CoS to a CEO for a small public firm. When the CEO retire he took over as interim CEO, got a ton of stock and eventually he helped to sell the company. Made out like a bandit
A certain international Telco is using the CoS role to spin up the next gen of leadership. They're pairing promising young candidates to their various C Suite Execs (CEO, CFO, COO etc) and letting them run high level high impact projects
