What firms are hiring in the next two months? Trying to make the jump from fed to commercial. A consultant right now making 80K and have a Masters

I'm telling

Also don't switch. I transferred from fed to commercial. Not hard.

Only 80 with a masters? That's criminal

Altman Vilandrie is hiring like crazy

@D1 do I find a commercial project first or ask leadership? Just think I make so little rn

Op are you in the DC area?

Willing to relocate--ideally somewhere warm

I'm asking because I may be jumping into Deloitte federal in the DC area at the consultant level. Part way through my masters. 2 years out of undergrad. Gonna shoot for 75k, what do you think?

C1, 75k was starting salary for BTA with master about two years ago. You should get more if you have work experience.

Yeah, learn from my mistake. I know campus hires at graduate level get mid 90s

You should be making 100k-110k at D

At least...

Dumb q. What's fed vs. commercial

Campus hires make more coming in straight from school. Experienced hire with masters, 80-90k is about right at consultant level. Also, I know a handful of people in commercial that switched from federal. Not sure what the process is, but I don't think it's too hard.

@OP try to get on a commercial project and build a network before filing the transfer request. I did commercial for about a year while I was still technically aligned to fed.

Hi Amazonians,

I got an offer today from Amazon.
I have following queries:
1. In yearly appraisals do they increase base pay or just give RSUs ?
2.how much % is the variable pay ? In offer letter they didn't mention anything about it.
3.. Is gratuity and insurance included in base pay ?
4. What's the avg base salary for solution architect 2 role ?

Please help in understanding this! Thank you

Had my virtual on-site with Apple last week and heard back from the recruiter that the feedback was good. She mentioned there may schedule a couple more interviews with leadership folks (Director and up) so curious to hear if any 🐠 had similar experiences and could speak to whether there were any differences with what the leadership would ask as opposed to the hiring manager / team interviewers?

I applied for position A with a company, but they posted a higher position with higher pay. I still meet the qualifications of the higher position. What can I do?

Does anyone have any idea what the technical assessment looks like at Houlihan Lokey for the analyst position? Interviewing for a role in their valuations advisory service line and I’m not quite sure what to expect.

I’ve been in my current role exactly 11 months (I’ve been with the firm almost 3 years). I spoke with a hiring manager for a position that closely aligns with my career goals and is a promotion, she’s invited me to apply and indicated I’d be a good fit. How do I begin the conversation with my current manager? I like my current role and would be happy to stay but I don’t want to be complacent! I’d like to do it before I submit my application to be as transparent as possible.

As things are slowly opening back up (maybe too soon...), I feel like I need a break from all of this before diving back into the next normal. I'm not going to be "on" just like that ... Anyone else?

Does anyone have some insight on exit opportunities from tax technology? I'm a senior right now and would like to get out of public before the end of the summer. I cannot work another busy season. I've been looking for a couple of months now, mainly at business intelligence/analyst roles, and am barely getting interviews. I thought a CPA who can code would be more in-demand, but maybe I'm just not applying to the right roles. My main goal in a new job is to not have to work more than 40 hours.

Hello all,

Does any one have any openings for Resource management and PMO role. I am looking for a change.

We share our backyard with our downstairs neighbors. They consistently hang various types of meat in the yard (sausages, fishes etc.). As a vegetarian, it’s a very odd/ disturbing site for more than 50% of my day since my office room faces that area. I don’t invite any friends over to hang in the backyard because I am embarrassed of the site.

Would I be unreasonable in expecting that they don’t do this in a shared space? Maybe certain times of the week, like the weekend?
