What funds do you choose in 401K? I selected only the Vanguard Target Retirement and dont know if the portfolio is diversified enough. Thanks Fish Fam!

Personally, I'm not a fan of the rather returned funds, at least not enough for 100% allocation... Depending on the year, they can have high exposure to fixed income (check fact sheet).. I'll be looking for as close as possible to 100% equities overall, diversified globally and across size.. there should be funds (slightly more expensive, but in 10-30bp range) which focus on midcap, small cap and EMs... Sometimes even specific EMs... If your target date fund doesn't have much exposure to bonds, you could put 50-60% in that and rest spread across other funds...

Just realized I can’t contribute to a Roth since my income is too high (I think). TC ~190k and wife makes around 90k. I’ve only been contributing for a few months now at the advice from a CFP friend (he never asked me what I made). Should I go back to 401k contributions or is there a better option here? I expect my retirement income (via pension) to be higher than my HHI now.

I’m interviewing at two great tech companies and am in the last rounds of interviews at both, meeting with the execs. If you were in this position, what other factors, besides the obvious would help you make a choice between the two?

Hello, fellow newbie here 😀
Was wondering if yall know of any remote sales jobs with a good starting base salary? I'm doing great at my current role selling senior health insurance (76k give or take a year) but I know I'm capable of selling at a higher commission range. My calls at my last company were all cold (around 100 a day). I got job offers as a recruiter and also a few SDR offers but both fields the base is under 45k. I have a four year degree and one year of sales experience. Thank you

Looking for advice. I currently am happy in my current position but a hospital near by is offering 30k sign on bonus (contracted for 2 years) with competitive pay and benefits. My current director is trying to get us all pay raises, but keeps getting denied. I do think something is coming though. If I get an offer I want to allow my current employer the chance to counter offer. Being in a leadership role right now, has any one done this and had it back fire?

Have never touched “shopper marketing” and have just done a few POP things. Thinking about moving to Chicago and looking into some agencies that do this. Had a call w/ recruiter and she (cont’d)

The manager in on my engagement has a bad reputation for treating staffs badly. I found out that many staffs felt uncomfortable with the manager’s style of communication as well as always blaming on staffs instead of taking responsibility. For example, a staff sent out the sample selections and manager reviewed it but later found out that there was an error but instead of taking responsibility, the manager blamed the senior who had nothing to do with the selection process.
