The best one I have found is, ‘Is there something we didn’t ask that you hoped we would?’ Giving a chance to take the conversation in something they wanted to share or highlight, gives a lot of room to explore something that might not have been on our radar from the start. Like that it leaves the door open and gives the candidate an option.
I am going to have to steal this and use it in my next interview because I love this question.
I think questions that prompt someone to demonstrate how they think are the most productive ones. So describing a hypothetical situation and how they might approach the problem can be good. Or really just anything where the person would have to show some facility for thinking on their feet.
