Any Amazon HR here- my friend (relocating from North America to Dubai) accepted an offer then rescinded it citing that he reviewed the compensation total package and that it is not enough for his family expenses+ schooling but later regretted the decision and is now interested in having another chance with the Amazon for another higher opportunity. Is there a chance or is he blacklisted? He reached out to the HM and explained, waiting, any situations where this happened with positive outcome?

Accepted a job in Los Angeles as a PA for owners/executive team which consists of 3 sisters. Job consists of PA duties,childcare & admin assistant in the office. Pay was $23/hr with benefits. I’m with an employer for 6 years now (with total 16 years of experience).
Current environment is great, great team, opportunities for growth within the company is good.

Found an offer with 40% hike outside.
My employer don’t want me to leave and ready to give up-to 30% hike.

One thing I heard them saying is , no one in the group makes what you will make after this 30% rise.

I just boomeranged to Google from a very hyped, private fintech - and my experience there was completely miserable. Bad culture, input vs output oriented perf, bureaucratic, etc.

I feel relieved to be out of that mix, but I feel so invalidated by friends, colleagues etc who gaslight by saying publicly how great the company was - even when many of them would reveal to me in private (often in tears) that they were miserable too. I feel very alone in my experience and (cont in comments)
