EYP is 250-300 and ten percent bonus. Booz is 220 and realistically like 45 percent bonus. Idk about de toilet
Rising Star
S& Director base is $240-260. $220 is SM.
Based on your reasons for leaving I would definitely look at the TSE practice within EYP. Your bonus will be lower than strategy but your base will be roughly the same. Most importantly you can get on longer implementation projects at that pay band and work ~50 hrs a week (with the occasional spike) with super cool folks
Genuine question, would you leave BCG to join other consulting firms?
OP, sucks your experience hasn't been great at BCG. Be careful with other firms too, as you consider switching. A lot of what you have shared sounds similar to how I feel about S& (Few years post-MBA), hours might be better. We do see same spikes (80+/WK) but you can control it such that you don't do them on back to back projects.
Another variable to consider at Dir level, you would have to deal with selling work (substantial targets) and getting a team to support selling through execution. This can add a lot of effort/hours especially without a pre-established network at the firm.
TL;DR: Make sure it isn't consulting you're tired of, and if it isn't, ensure you priorities other variables over comp that will promote a better environment/experience relative to BCG.
S& D2 would be $260 base + up to 65% bonus. Could realistically expect 50% bonus taking total comp in year 2 to $390K.
S1 is on point. Post MBA SAs can make ~225k , most will be in the 205 neighborhood. Top rated SMs will make 320-350k for reference
What’s base + bonus for principal at BCG?
Folks might be confusing levels and avg time to level at different firms on here.
Also at Acc2, I think Mck might be the firm that has the accelerated BA to AP/P (~6yrs). My GUESS is that's the minority.
OP - Kearney could also be a good option to consider, their culture is pretty good
AlixPartners would also be a good option to consider - if you want to stay in consulting. Pandemic has not been easy but most of my days have been manageable (8a-8p) and weekends for the most part protected. Our pay will be similar to BCG if not slightly higher. Feel free to DM.
Does EYP offers different MBA and non-MBA salaries ?
Curious about this as well
