Go to Hamburg and enjoy red light district at Hamburg. They have a red light district above McDonald's as well. First enjoy happy meal then happy ending.😎😂
Congratulations on the new role in Germany. If you want to be on growth spree in Germany it is a must to know the language. The work will be slow paced and so will be the growth but very good work culture and work life balance. Better quality of life overall but the salary is too low as you will lose out 30 percent to bundestuer or government taxes. In hand will be around less than 4000 euros per month. Which is approximately 32 lakhs in hand pa and you need to spend on food, stay, travel for work and leisure, other expenses. Normally salary in Germany grows at 3 percent average and it will be peanuts.
In your Indian scenario you and your wife both will be working and earning decently only thing is you will be rich but cannot have that Germany feel and ambience. But in India you can be with your parents, take care of them, enjoy Indian festivals and get your kid to an Indian education etc.
Finally everything boils down to what exactly you want to do, what you’re looking for. Happy to help you with specific facts about Germany and life there. All the best and Godspeed.
I'd choose 60k any day... The expectation as you reach higher CTC in India will be higher and especially after the IT bubble bursts. Clean air, good food and access to EU. Pffft stay in India for ache dinn?
Exactly what my thought was as well, there's just mad rush going on right now, they'd pay you anything you want!
However would it be a downgrade in terms of enumeration if choosing to move to Germany?
Also look into the ongoing war…if by chance EU enters in war against Russia , then u r at ur own risk as India will not evacuate at such situation. If u have offer of 30+ lpa and considering ur wife 12lpa it is more than sufficient in India. Plus life will be good at starting in Germany but slowly u will feel isolated and lonely since u will have very less friend circle over there. And worst part after spending 3-4 years in Germany if u plan to return India I don’t know whether u will get a job easily as u will be on a managerial role till that time and will be tough to get a job in India.
Yes it's good getting a job abroad but difficult task to return to India as things won't be same for years, makes sense seen few friends in this situation
Hehe ...I am in the same boat I accepted it...because my spouse would be looking for job as well after we land in Germany...
I was on the same boat
Can you guide how did you apply
How did you apply and get an interview in German firm?
30+ in India!!? Think again before you choose 60k in Germany
You mean to say 30+ is better? But given that I'd have work permit, and Changing job within Germany would be a viable option as well
Yes it is a downgrade but making the move is something only you and your family can decide on. Also, is money everything for you? Then pick money. This is 2022, so many choices... Wlb, WFH, 4day work week. Etc etc. Is money everything?
Can not agree more....u have to start from somewhere...better now than late....I am moving to Hamburg in june
Please do proper due diligence on firm as well. I have seen in some of the cases after traveling to Germany people were laid off.. due to Covid.
even mc is laying off these days..
You need to have b2 certificate in German to get a job locally. Yours is fine but spouse should have language proficiency. I don't think you will save much than here. I know someone who shifted with 80k to Germany with combined ctc of 32 here. They are saving same amount and want to come back to India. Germany is no UK and USA.
Yess
Monetary you can compare
You will get a great experience in living other country in contrary you may miss family and friends ,Diwali and other festivals
So compare and take a decision
I would recommend to stay in India if you guys are earning good here itself. There will be language barrier if you land up in few other cities in Germany.
I have stayed there for 2-3 years and i think staying with family is wiser in english speaking country.
I'll be staying in Hamburg,
People go to Europe for quality of life, many of my friends are living there are are planning to retire from Germany given the facilities like retirement and very less cost of education for your young ones and many universities don't charge anything at all which you will never find in India so decide wisely..
On a side note you can look for options at other countries as well like UAE where you are just 3-4 hrs away from India while earning avg. of around 50-60 lpa without any taxes..
Peace ✌🏻
