Let's face it, the traditional 9 to 5 doesn't always work for everyone. Offering flexible work arrangements, like remote work options or compressed workweeks, allows employees to achieve a better work-life balance.

💯

Money is my first reaction. But after that I would say remote work.

A big bonus! The best perk I can ever get from a company is money or giving us opportunities to make more money like giving employees stock.

Onsite doggy daycare.

Jokes aside, I legit have proposed onsite child daycare for about 6 years. Aside from paid parental leave, it is one of the most powerful ways to signal your population that it is okay to have a career and a family at the same time.

I really would like the doggy daycare, however. Just not practical, sadly.

Remote working, salary, flexible schedules, benefits. In that order. At first I thought money but I’m not so sure anymore.

How do firms calculate how much parental leave to provide, either paid or unpaid. Or do they just pick a number, like “yeah they can get to know their kid in a few weeks and I couldn’t possibly have that attorney out for 12 weeks?” I’m at a small firm, no FMLA or state requirement. We get four weeks paid and four weeks unpaid. Would like to push for more but not sure how to argue costs side of it.

Hi guys, Could you please help me out on what to be filled here, I've 3 years of experience and I don't think I would be falling under gratuity that will be '0'. But I'm not sure of what to be filled on "Leave Encashment Exemption". I've 170 hours of leave balance. My HRBP dose not respond at all I've been trying to contact her from weeks and there's no response to any of mails nor pings on teams. I really appreciate you for helping me fill this?

I have a Deloitte PDM offer. I’ve read about the positives/negatives and I’m so torn. When my recruiter says I’ll have “144 hours” of PTO (18 days), will I definitely still run into the utilization trap of not being able to take it? Are all projects 40-42 hr weekly caps? Third question: I’m new in the DC area, are PDMs invited to firm socials? Trying to make friends! Thanks in advance
