What is the best working knowledge certification I could take, eg FSA credential, GRI, etc? CONTEXT: I have a MSc in Sustainability from 2019 and have been working in different sectors for the last few years (international development, humanitarian energy, circular economy and energy digital transformation). I feel a growing gap in my skills as most jobs I see need experience in sustainability reporting/frameworks, which I don’t have. I did the ESG CFA but didn’t find it very useful.

Currently a staff in audit - 6 months in. Glad to be learning a lot, and have had a generally positive experience at the firm other than a few interactions, some tough busy season nights. Really been intrigued by TAS/M&A, however, and had a few convos with a senior in TAS i know at the firm. It’s closer to what I studied, but don’t know how to make the jump as it seems an internal transfer could take 6+months/senior rank and a lot of convincing. Is it better to jump firms/has anyone done this?

How have you evaluated moving to a totally different t career/industry then the one you were in?

How does one go about switching practice groups within the same firm? I was under the impression it’s better to lateral elsewhere but I do really like my firm, just not the work in this practice area. Want to switch from transactional to litigation.
