What is the deal with these Indian recruiters who are based in India sending a flood of contract positions for ridiculously low market rate of 60-70 dollars an hour? Is it because of H1b tightening that they are not able to import people and now trying to lure Americans? How do they even find these jobs and why companies even hire these people to fill their open positions? No one sane is going to work with these people.

Tiger Analytics has started firing their new joineers(freshers) as they don't have adequate projects. I don't know where the freshers will go as they haven't done any project as such.

I hear a lot about cash flow with rental properties but would appreciate thoughts on whether breaking even after accounting for mortgage (interest and insurance included) as well as % set aside for repairs, vacancy, etc. is a decent strategy for building a portfolio. Alternative is wait for rates to come down, but that could easily be a few years at this point. If I find a good deal, I can always refinance my mortgage when rates drop and theoretically rental income will have increased by then.
