Is it SAFE joining Wipro as technical lead (B3) with 37LPA? Knowing that package is pretty high as compared to collogues in same band. HR is not ready to give project manager(C1) position.
Appreciate your suggestions/input.
Would there be any scope of increment going forward?

I have been teaching different levels almost every year also because I moved a lot. I taught 7th, 8th math, Geometry, Algebra 2, Math II, Math III, AFM, AFDA, algebra 3, IB HL(only 1 yr), ACT/SAT prep.. This year i have Algebra1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and ACT/SAT prep.
The hardest part is the lack of foundation students have before coming to me. Recent years I have had to do lots of review even of concepts they should have known already.
Second hardest part is taking good notes and knowing how to use them to apply themselves in harder questions. They give up quickly.
Apathy. Students hate it. Many adults on campus will proudly state that they don't like math or that they aren't good at math, which gives some students an out for not trying. Kids can't do anything without a calculator. Kids can't do basic math, which prevents them from seeing patterns and learning concepts. Just a horrible subject to teach, despite loving it. Districts don't try to place students in classes that they do well in because "it's tracking". However, students that are learning English are placed in tracked ELD classes. Taught at junior high for 26 years, but not at a continuation high school.
Yeah the apathy grates at me too. Especially when I have students that I know could succeed with the barest amount of effort.
The general student apathy is the difficult part right now. I teach 7th grade math; this is my 17th year.
That some of my math skills do not get adequate practice, I’ve recently took on tutoring students in Alg II H and Community college. I feel better when they remind me of things I have forgotten/weak areas. Teaching foundational math/main standards to death and not finding many students ability challenging is a drag.
Also I’m bummed I don’t get to do very much on graphing calculators, which also need practice!
Honestly?
Right now, as an AP Calculus teacher the hardest part is explaining to kids:
Great, I get it. It's the pandemic's fault. I'll explain it all over and over. If you don't even care that sin x is not what the Catholic church calls Instagram pseudo porn, engineering might not be the right choice for you.
18 years, alg 1 to AP cal BC, large suburban schools in south Texas.
I'm a softie so I find being the "bad cop" the hardest. Tough when students who are having trouble in math or are refusing to put in the effort start to dislike you simply because you're the teacher. For some reason it was easier when teaching elementary school, middle schoolers are mean!
Seriously considering it, I would love to teach older students who are actually passionate about the subject.
The rampant use of photomath and mathway these past few years. Many students are ignorant and refuse to do any work that doesn’t let them on their computer to cheat. Poor work ethic, poor supervision at home. Strong entitlement. That Bering said, most of the freshmen are fantastic and try to succeed so as the older students leave there will likely be a more encouraging group progressing.
