What is the most important benefit for you, other than health insurance? I used to want unlimited FTO but then I realized what that meant and no longer! LOL

I think we should always assume that in corporate speak, unlimited really means limited served with side-eye and emotional blackmail. One benefit I'd always seek would be the ability to work remotely. I've been back in the office and it's not too horrendous, but having some flexibility around that would be attractive.

like

PTO since it's so important for WLB. I don't care about any of the non-health insurance benefits as much as I care about being able to take vacations and visit family each year.

A good 401 (k) match is now something I look for. Anything that makes money go further is a huge plus for me.

It depends if you would consider it a benefit or not, but working from home! I don't think I could ever willingly go back to the office. Working from home has been such an incredible game changer for my quality of life.

Hello everyone!

Currently looking to jump from Health Care to Pharma/Biotech. Does anyone work at Gilead and can serve as a reference? The current department I’m in, I do not fit the culture as it is a very archaic way of “managing” people. I have about a decade of a variety of work experience, majority in customer service/coordination/administration.

Would love any assistance if possible!

I was just hired as HR Generalist/department of one/first HR hire for a small start-up. First week in and I find out that previous COO is in rehab and has made some some egregious promises around comp, additional benefits to EEs, and also made some decisions that cost the company a significant amount of money. Company has offered to pay for 2 months leave. Now it seems like owner and other execs do not want this person to return. What do I need to consider regarding termination? Is ADA at play?

Good morning!

Still trying to figure out this whole Fishbowl thing, so here goes my first post.

I would love to get into provider credentialing, but all employers I've looked at want at least 3 years of experience. So, I'm looking at Provider Network Coordinator roles, because I'm finding some of those roles don't need AS MUCH experience. I'm a RHIT, and have been working in healthcare for nearly 10 years.

Any input on employers is appreciated!

Hi! Pretty new to this concept, and really early within my career (only 3 months in). Currently on my company’s 401k plan, contributing well beyond the minimum to receive a match, and maxing the amount I can put in right now (25%). Dabbled a bit in options and stocks in general. Any advice, guides, or starting places you would give someone in my shoes? Thank you in advance!
